Support for Substance Abuse Prevention in DeKalb County
华体会 has a long history of giving back to local communities through health education, support groups, charitable giving and more. Facilitated through 华体会 Kishwaukee Hospital, one such collaboration is the DeKalb County Partnership for a Substance Abuse Free Environment (DCP SAFE), which began in 1989 as a joint effort to reduce alcohol and tobacco advertising in local DeKalb County school districts. Today, it is a countywide coalition of organizations committed to substance abuse prevention.
Out of the initial partnership, a broad coalition has developed involving:
- Community members
- Schools
- Government agencies
- Law enforcement
- Nonprofit agencies
- Private industries
As we continue to work on prevention projects, collaboration is a key asset.
