Overview

Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

The symptoms of multiple sclerosis can vary widely from person to person. Common symptoms may include:

  • Fatigue
  • Weakness
  • Balance problems
  • Spasticity
  • Numbness
  • Bladder and bowel problems
  • Vision changes
  • Difficulty with thinking, memory or concentration
  • Depression

Treatment is available to relieve symptoms, and, for some types of multiple sclerosis, to prevent symptomatic attacks and slow disease progression. Over the past decade, research has shown that early and active management of multiple sclerosis can help improve quality of life.
